    New Year 1 Pathway to Progress Intervention Programme Resource Pack – now available to order!

    Pathway to Progress is designed to give pupils the foundations and skills to enable them to make accelerated progress and secure age-related expectations. Each intervention programme is a comprehensive teaching tool with counting starters, worked examples, key questions, language focus and independent practice for each session.   
     
    Our Year 1 resource pack consists of:
     
    • A4 colour Rationale book (spiral bound)
    • A4 colour Teacher Guidance book (spiral bound)
    • One set of colour A5 activity cards (45 cards)

    A half-day training session on ‘Pathway to Progress’ – A mathematics intervention programme. Currently available for pupils in Years 1, 2, 4 and 6.

    Recruitment of high quality teaching staff presents a significant challenge for schools in Hampshire, as it does nationally. Our new subject knowledge enhancement course is for non-specialists, across all core and EBacc subjects, as well as RE.  

    This training will: 

    • Support those recently in post, as well as provide preparation support for those who may be taking up a new post in September 2024. 
    • Equip teachers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively deliver high quality lessons in the chosen subject. 
    • Focus on Key Stage 3 teaching principally, whilst offering the requisite level of skill and knowledge to facilitate further development towards the teaching of Key Stage 4 over time. 

    Participants will need some prior knowledge of the chosen subject.

    Join us for Primary Mathematics: Effective Teaching of Times Tables 2024 – 4 July and 26 September 2024

    The aim of this course is to explore and develop ideas, pedagogies and associated subject knowledge to promote and enhance the teaching of times tables in the classroom. Teachers will engage in mathematics from the primary curriculum and explore mental strategies in order to support pupils’ conceptual understanding of mental fluency.

    Learn how to teach Problem Solving in Key Stage 2 Mathematics 23-24 – 8 February 2024

    The course aims to develop teachers’ pedagogy on the various approaches to teaching the skills needed for effective problem solving – one of the main aims of the National Curriculum. Teachers will have the opportunity to explore the different styles of problems which enable children to develop and embed their mathematical skills.
